A former advertising colleague approached Jennifer for help connecting his project, The Gay Sweater – a sweater, knit from the hair of LGBTQ people to counter the pejorative use of the word ‘gay’— to Toronto Fashion Week.

There wasn’t time to officially join the event so Jennifer hired a model to wear the sweater and styled her in a way that would pique the interest of media outside the main tent, hoping to garner buzz and get some organic street style photography coverage. “People wanted to photograph her as soon as she stepped out of the cab,” says Jennifer. It was a win for Jennifer, her client, the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) and for the LGBTQ community.

The Gay Sweater, as styled by Jennifer, appeared in FLAREFASHION Magazine, on CTV news and in countless fashion blogs.
